Barry and Sonia Burnett

Barry and Sonia Burnett married on December 29, 1981. Both graduated from Ouachita Baptist University in Arkadelphia, AR in May of 1983 and 1984.

Barry received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Math and Computer Science
Sonia received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nutrition
Barry received a Master’s of Divinity Degree from Southwestern Theological Seminary in Ft. Worth, Texas in May of 1988

Barry was church planter in Yuma, AZ from 1988-1992
He was Director of Missions for Yuma County from 2000-2005.

Sonia was dietetics supervisor of Twin Rivers Medical Center in Arkadelphia, AR from 1982-1984
She was a dietitian in Arlington, Texas from 1986-1988. She started and served as coordinator for the CASA program in Yuma, AZ.

Barry and Sonia were career missionaries in the Dominican Republic for 10 years with the International Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention. They joined Pioneer Missions in December 2005.

Barry and Sonia are parents of Erik, Gabriela, and Brianna.
